Upcoming Compute Host Security Update (PwnEscape, CVE-2026-99999)

Scheduled for Oct 22, 23:45 UTC  -  Oct 23, 05:45 UTC

Scheduled

We are preparing a security maintenance on our Compute hosts to protect our customers and partners against a critical vulnerability in the networking stack of the Linux kernel (CVE-2026-99999). Further details on the vulnerability are available here: https://pwn.ai/blog/pwnescape

We will publish a detailed rollout plan for a permanent fix, including schedules and affected locations and services, as soon as it becomes available. We estimate that the rollout will begin this week.

We aim to keep disruption to a minimum while protecting the workload of our customers optimally. We recommend that customers and partners verify their workloads can safely handle a reboot (e.g. services start automatically after a restart) for the unexpected case a host reboot cannot be avoided.

Please subscribe to our Status Page for further updates on this upcoming Maintenance.
